I just started an update of some packages + adding a couple of new and removed a couple too. The Pulse Explorer then starts it magic, and I though I might aswell look at the download status while waiting. After a while I noticed that it seems like “Pulse Optimized Downloads” isn’t that optimized, it seems like it is downloading the same packages over and over again. I can’t find a pattern, it seems it start the same package download again when done, and does that a random number of times, before moving to the next package.

While writing it just finished downloading all the packages, but then it just started all over, and now seems like it want to download all the packages again.

I tried to search if this was a known bug, or there was some other explanation, but didn’t find anything.

Do anybody have some input on this?

    (I’m using ME9 on Windows 7)

    rickirunge,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. I am afraid, I do no have visibility of your system. Could you please answer below queries to help me investigate this further –
    1. Please copy and paste your installation details. Refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-how-to-view-the-installation-details/&highlight=&sid=1a3e34db09f9945f2b52dc599e085d44
    2. Please attach screenshot of the issue you are facing to help me get a visual. Refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-how-to-upload-attachments-on-forum/&highlight=&sid=1a3e34db09f9945f2b52dc599e085d44
    3. Are you behind firewall / proxy? If yes, please set your proxy here – window > preferences > general > network connections. In case you are behind proxy, and have not setup proxy, the software downloads would fail, and it would try to download the software repeatedly.
    4. In case you are not behind proxy/firewall and you face this issue, please elaborate on what are the software pulse explorer is trying to download repeatedly and also details of the plugins you have added and removed.
    5. Last clarification – are you trying to add / remove plugins using pulse / MyEclipse Configuration Center ?
