Have you changed the security settings on the Nexus 7 to allow installation of sources other than from the Google Play Store?

Have checked security again and still OK, It has worked before with a test project. Has anyone successfully built android app in last few hours? The build is done !in the cloud”, at a loss what could be wrong.

I have just re-built an existing android app and installed on my nexus 7, no problems encountered.

Thanks Stickleback, seems prob is at my end, or my understanding. Simple followed the app build steps, on 2 different laptops and 2 different nexus 7, no joy, don’t know what to do next. Give it a rest I think and come back to it before trial runs out.
Would still like to know what exactly the error message actually means; “unsupported platform” clearly misleading as Nexus is a supported device. Thanks for bearing with me, appreciate it

When I download the installation files from mobione to my Nexus 7 I get the same ‘unsupported platform, attempt installation anyway?’ message, I believe it just means the file is not being downloaded from the Google Play Store. When I click ‘ok’ it downloads.

Thank goodness, thought I was going mad! only difference is when I go ahead anyway I get “Duplicate Headers” message – had to be my environment so did some digging.

Turns out Chrome doesn’t like what it receives from mobione. So to verify I downloaded Opera, got same message but ignored it and it installed OK. Must be bug at Mobi, Chrome or security setting in Chrome – will look into Chrome setting later – unless someone has the answer – short of time time now myself – clocks just gone forward so nearly daylight!, Have to move on so Opera it is for now at least.

Once again again thanks, and I hope experience will help others .

This bug is being introduced by our cloud provider – Google App Engine. GAE is automatically adding the content type headers incorrectly. We have tried to work around this but nogo so far. We are waiting for google to resolve it.

I’m reporting the same issue. Target are Android devices with JellyBean. Seems browser is not recognized as a smartphone or tablet device. I think because It is a full
chrome browser (or header are not interpreted correctly by the Mobione Cloud)

I have the same message on a Mac or PC browser, but I can force the download and I’m able to save the apk file. In mobile devices no files were downloaded.
I need to go on my Mac to download files, copy to my public dropbox folder, then download and install them from there.
Please fix this issue as soon as possible. Can’t loose all this time to do a simple thing.
    Thanks,
    Max.

We are attempting to work around the GAE issue but the implementation will take us a while to resolve and we still don’t know for sure if it is an exact fix. We will keep you updated.

We are encountering this same issue whilst trying to install to a LG Nexus 4. Has this issue been resolved / workaround found ?

    See http://www.genuitec.com/support-genuitec/viewtopic.php?p=16529#p16529

The fix is very extensive and risky. We have elected to move to a new platform with completely new App Center services, e.g., web portal UI, high security, multiple simultaneous cordova runtime environments, push notification services, …. This development is underway now. We will share more details asap.

    >Has this issue been resolved / workaround found ?
The workaround is using the default android browser to download your android app.
