    MyEclipse v6.0.1 GA
    Windows XP Pro SP3

While working in the IDE every so often i get “import com.xxx.xxxx cannot be resolved”. this is only happening with my classes (never java.xxx imports). this seems to only appear on files that i have changed that day. the odd thing is, even with all the “red ink” on objects that are part of those bad imports, everything builds fine.

i am able to ignore the error msgs, but i’d like to see if there’s a fix for this.

    David,
Is you issue similar to the one discussed here:-
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/cannot-be-resolved-errors-in-java-import-statements/

Let me know if the solution suggested in the above thread helps.

    well, it helps…sort of.

the “feature” you reference gives compilation errors. mine compile cleanly, w/ or w/o the “unresolved’s”. also it states this was fixed in 3.3m6 (or something similar)….what is that in real version numbers?

You should upgrade to MyEclipse 6.5 and test this out. The base version of MyEclipse 6.5 should be the newest version of 3.3.

i have installed v6.5 and the problem is still there. after installation & project build it looked good. i went to lunch, came back and have “red ink” all over the classes that i’ve touched. again, it still compiles dispite all the supposed errors.

take a peep at http://www.mobley.com/ipa/Eclipse_v6_5.bmp to see an interesting example. GlobalConstants is imported at the top. you will see one function where there is “red ink” (i.e. “GlobalConstants cannot be resolved”), yet right below in the next function GlobalConstants are found.

    odd….but work-around-able

turns out if you do a “Project” “Clean” the psuedo-errors disappear.

So the import error has gone away ?

i’d say NO, they have not gone away. they appear randomly….BUT if you do a “project – clean” they are removed…until the next time they appear.

    David,
Do you have Project > Build Automatically checked? This would build your project on every save and hopefully the issue will not persist.
