    I think you need:
Help > Software Updates > Find and Install… > Search for new features to install…
in order to enter the URL for the special update sites.

That’s really odd because that’s just base Eclipse functionality. And you already have MyEclipse installed and working? I could understand this if you’ve never had a working installation of MyEclipse as it could be that you don’t have the full Eclipse SDK installed.

One other way to “upgrade” would be to do a parallel install of Eclipse 3.0.1 and MyEclipse 3.8.2, then launch the new install and point it to your old workspace. I certainly don’t know of any reason why the update search isn’t working.

you mean reinstall Eclipse 3.0.1 then MyEclipse 3.8.2 full installation. all MyEclipse configuration &
preference stored in workspace area. so I don’t need to reconfigure environments?

Right. Just install a new copy of 3.0.1 and ME 3.8.2. Then when you launch it, point it to your existing workspace so all your settings will be picked up.
