I am running this version of MyEclipse :

    MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench

    Version: 7.0 Milestone-2
    Build id: 7.0-M2-20080915

I have noticed that the memory grabbed by the IDE is not released when I stop Java processes in MyEclipse.

I may be reading this wrong. The memory indicator in MyEclipse says 207M of 359m.
The Windows Task Manager shows the javaw.exe with MEM Usage of 586M.

I stopped the Java processes in the IDE but the Windows Task manager still shows 586M being grabbed. The memory indicator in MyEclipse still has a maximum of 359M.

Is there any other config settings I need to free the memory. I have 2G on my machine and with the other applications, I am down to 10%.

    Regards

If you want the memory back, shut down MyEclipse… You can’t free the memory by killing the process *while* the application is running.

I now have to restart my MyEclipse every third day.
I have installed another 1 Gb memory stick.

Can you escalate this to find out why the memory is not released?

    Regards

I have escalated this issue to the dev team and it’s been put on their TODO list to research, but we are working heavily on 7.5 right now and may not get back with a result right away.
