I just upgraded from 4.0GA to 4.1GA. I d/l the upgrade zip, pointed Ecplise to the directory and started the upgrade. The upgrade finished normally.

However I lost the MyEcplise setting which copies the external library jars to the deployment target. The ‘lib’ directory was blank in the deployment target.

Once I turned on the option in the MyEcplise preferences (MyEclipse/ J2EE Project/ Web Project/ Deployment) the library jars were copied over.

So somewhere during the upgrade these settings were reset.

Interesting. I don’t know how that would’ve been reset, but thanks for letting us know. I’m glad the workaround was so straightforward. 🙂

Yes, but I did some fairly extensive changes on Friday, the same day I upgraded MyEcplise, including moving some libraries around so they also get picked up by the backup process. So on Monday I start the testing, and I get a runtime “class not found” error. General panic as I try to find out just where I lost the class reference.

    I can laugh NOW ….. 🙂
