I am using eclipse 3.1M4 build with MyEclipse 3.8.3. I found a strange situation in editing XML files. I have an ANT script which modifies the XML file which is there in the web project. After the XML file got modified the XML editor doesn’t pickup the changes, it still shows the old contents. I refreshed the project also I closed and reopen the file still no change. If I open the file in text editor I can see the modifications but from MyEclipse XML editor I can’t see those changes.

Is it a know bug or do I need to do some setting?

We currently don’t support Eclipse 3.1M4 or any of the other MBuilds. Please reinstall on an Eclipse 3.0.x release which is officially supported. If at that time you see simliar behavior please post back your report and we will investigate the issue.
