I started to notice this problem today when the build in my web module project kept getting stuck at about 5% and wouldn’t complete. (It has worked just fine until now.) So, I restarted Eclipse and the javaw process ran at 99% and all I ever saw was the Eclipse splash screen.
I uninstalled MyEclipseIde 3.8.0B2 and then reinstalled. I can start Eclipse now and the performance is better, but I still have this stray javaw process running at about 90% cpu time.
Any suggestions for what I can do to fix this?

Just read the guidelines, here’s the info:
Windows 2000 SP3
Eclipse 3.0.0 Build 200406251208
This is a new Eclipse installation.

No errors is the .log file.
