Hello,
I have set up Sun Java System Application Server 9 with MyEclipse 20070521-5.5.1-GA. I can deploy EAR-s, WAR-s, I can start and stop the AS so it seems to be working fine. However, I cannot log in on the Admin Console start page (http://localhost:4848/asadmin/) because the password of “admin” does not work.
I tried to stop the AS from MyEclipse and start from outside, from the Start Menu, it works fine. Stopped the external instance, back to MyEclipse, started there, the Admin page comes up but the password does not work. Not even “adminadmin” – and a few others I tried as well.
Could anyone please tell me the password for admin if I start the AS from inside MyEclipse? It would be a great help!

Actually “admin” is not a valid password for Sun AS, it has to be atleast 6 characters, and the default is usually “adminadmin”, try that.Hello Riyad,
thank you for your response. Meanwhile I figured out what the real problem was: there was two installation of the application server, one in c:\Sun\SDK, the other in c:\Sun\Appserver. It seems that the all-in-wonder installer of J2EE 5 JDK installed these.
Sun’s shortcut started the server in c:\Sun\SDK, and that works fine with the password (asadmin/login or web interface)
MyEclipse started the instance from c:\Sun\Appserver, which I simply cannot use since it does not accept any imaginable passwords at logon, maybe a corrupted installation.
So that’s all.
