    I know it’s possible to take a screenshot by holding the home button down whilst pressing the on/off button but is it possible to assign a function to a button that will automate this within an app.

    @stickleback,

    Not that I know of but I am checking with the dev team.
    Q: is your screenshot requirement to save the screencapture image to the photo gallery or do you need to manipulate the image directly after the capture?

    Just to save to the photo gallery. It is to save a selected list that is created because the app loses the data when the phone is implemented and the app web app closes. I asked a few months ago if there was a way to keep the select list data whilst making the phone call and you were checking with the dev team about that also.

    Any luck in assigning this function to a button in my app?

    I would really appreciate a reply as to whether or not this can be done.

    Sorry, thought this had been answered earlier today. There is no programmatic screenshot mechanism/api available. I believe the delay in reply is because we discussed this question in conjunction with another support case involving lost webapp state when returning from placing a call. We were brainstorming other options for that case such as using localstorage to save selected menu items…
