ME PRO 2014 (on SUSE Linux 12).

Click the Search menu on the top of the screen –> some file name such as (myfile.js) –> found on the search panel –> double click on the file –> it is opened on a panel, I then double click on the penal to render the penal maximized.

Is there a way such athat when I souble click on the file it can be opened and maximized directly and automatically?

    Thanks

    Eugene

    Eugene,

This kind of feature would be a base eclipse feature but I’m not aware of any way to do what you describe. Depending on what you want, you may be able to play around with the views and panels in the perspective, perhaps to have a larger, wider editor area and small search panel at the bottom. A customized perspective can then be saved under your own name. You can also play with minimized view stacks (with the editor area maximized) but I can’t think of a way to reduce the mouse-clicks in that case.

Perhaps the eclipse platform forum might be a good place to get more specific help on this.
