My company still has a large community of developers who utilize Rational Application Developer as well as just Eclipse.
We have also transitioned a large number of users to MyEclipse Blue.

As our enterprise architecture is upgraded, SDC is rapidly becoming our best alternative to current software distribution and license tracking methods.

My question is: is there a projected date for SDC being able to deliver IBM Rational Application Developer?
On the SDC page, under Platforms, its said “Coming soon…” for some time.

Being able to manage and distribute all of our IDEs from solely within SDC would be incredibly beneficial. If we were able to do that, all of our IDE managment would become incredibly simplified with a single integrated solution.

Is Rational Software management scheduled to be released in any upcoming updates to SDC?

Thanks for the suggestion! We definitely appreciate the desire to have all IDEs in your enterprise delivered via SDC.
We’re able to accomplish much of this already via leveraging extensibility, though due to licensing constraints to certain IBM Rational products, we’re not able to provide the same simplicity out of the box as we can with other technologies. I suggest working with your sales representative to explore options available to you.
