If you save an app to the home screen on iOS7, the send e-mail function no longer works. it works fine if you open the URL in safari. I’ve included a simple project to demonstrate the issue.

Steps to reproduce:

-Deploy as a web app
-navigate to URL and test in Safari — verify e-mail app is opened
-save web app to home screen
-launch from home screen
-verify that pressing the button doesn’t do anything

I have only tested this on my iPhone (iOS7)

I think they are aware of this, it is one of many issues with web apps and iOS7.

Thanks. Sorry for the duplicate post! I searched the forums for issues with “email”, but it throws that term away so I did not find this post.

For native apps, it works, but there’s a noticable lag – like 1 or 2 seconds on a 4s.
