    Hi,

We have a subscription for MyEclipse, which is allocated and activated on developer PC’s. Some of these developers are also on-call, so we are looking to set up a Windows 7 VM running Eclipse and MyEclipse that they can log into and use if they get a support call. This VM will be configured such that it has the latest projects checked out (the devs work on different projects normally, so this VM will have the latest release loaded).

My questions are…. If I install MyEclipse on the VM, apply the licence and then each user logs on in turn and activates it under their own profile, what does this do to our subscription? There will only ever be one user logged onto the VM, but potentially 10-12 separate users in total. If I implement this, do I need to buy more licences?? (I don’t believe I do, but it’s best to check!!).

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Mark.

    Mark,

You do not need to buy more licenses if at any given point a single user is going to use the MyEclipse.
If you want multiple users to log into MyEclipse and work simultaneously, then you will have to purchase more licenses.

Let us know if you have any questions.
