I have executed myeclipse-7.1-win32.exe. It prepares the installation and starts “javaw” process. After about 20 or 30%, it appears it is hung. I checked the process using “procmon”, and all it is doing is reconnect/disconnect to http://ec2-75-101-182-226.compute-1.amazonaws.com. length is 0 always. I left it as it is and after about 50 minutes, it finally finished the installation. Is this an expected behavior taking almost 1 hour for the installation?

It doesn’t take an hour to install provided you have the installer handy. Looks like you were facing some blockades. I will have a dev team member investigate this and get back to you.

Are you running the installer over a network? The installer should ideally not take this long. Incase you face this problem in the future, you can grab the pulse installer from http://www.poweredbypulse.com and use it to setup MyEclipse.
