Hi,

I am setting soft tabs (spaces rather than tab chars in Window/Preferences/Java/Code Style/Formatter) – which is for Java files. Sadly I still get hard tabs (\t’s) when editing XML files. Is there are way to select soft tabs for XML file editing?

Sure:
Window > Prefs > MyEclipse > Editors > XML > XML Source, you can set to use spaces there.
