Tom McCobbParticipantThis looks related to JDK6 JVM issue: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=255397
Started Eclipse with JD5, and sockets problem disappears.
support-joyMemberThank you tmccobb for posting the resolution, this will help other forum users. 🙂
mnottParticipantThis sucks big time. MyEclipse 7.1 even comes with Java6 /by default/. For the moment I was able to change that only by myeclipse-common/binary# ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun com.sun.java.jre.linux.x86_64_1.6.0.012

Loyal WaterMembermnott,
Did you setup MyEclipse 7.1 using the all in one installer? Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.
