The default size of the Console buffer is inadequate for my needs. Is there a way to specify a larger (or unlimited) buffer size for the Console view?

This questions pertains to MyEclipseIDE 3.8.4 running on Eclipse 3.0.1.

The only Console settings I’ve seen are under the Run/Debug->Console tab.

    TIA,

    J.D.

    JD,
Those console settings apply for MyEclipse since we use the standard Eclipse output view.

    Yeah, I realize that. 🙂

Is there a way in Eclipse 3.0.1 to increase the Console view buffer size to large amount or unlimited. I realize that this is an Eclipse Issue but I prefer to ask the question on this site because the tool I am using is MyEclipseIDE.

    Yeah, I realize that. 🙂

Then I’m confused… because there is a checkbox that says “Limit console output” and you are asking me “How do I not limit console output?”… dare I suggest you uncheck the box? (This can’t actually be your question, I must be misunderstanding you…)

    Right….

    Right….

I have that unchecked but wasn’t seeing the desired effect. Seem like Eclipse 3.0.1 was still limiting the buffer. I’ll check the Eclipse Org site to find out if there is some information on this. I wanted to make sure that there wasn’t a MyEclipseIDE setting that might be conflicting with the one under Run/Debug–>Console settings.
