Hi.
problem with the splash screen iOS on iphone 4, using Mobione 2.5
The Splash screen show ok in portrait mode on the phone, but moving the phone to landscape while this is showing
only the top half of the image shows? it’s not a big problem as this is only on the screen for a few seconds
but would prefer it to show the full image when using the phone in landscape.
i have done a native build, and installed on my iPhone this is when i noticed the problem.
had all of the images as needed when going through the build process:
Application icons
iPhone 57×57
iPhone4 & 5 114×114
iPad & iPhone 72×72
iTunes 512×512

Startup images
iPhone 320×480
iPhone4 640×960
iPhone 5 640×1136
all .png images
Do i need to provide images for the iPad when building my app? ( i am building for iPhone only)
everything else is working great, just this problem.

Hi Uplink1001,

thanks for your report. Splash screen orientation is hardcoded in Cordova RTE, so it might be changed with Cordova RTE update.

As for splash images – have you tried to select “iPhone and iPad” device type in Build Wizard (its on Device & Orientation tab)?
When this option is selected iPad related images are not required and controls looks grayed.

HI.
I think you mean iPhone and iPod? device type in Build Wizard.
Have already selected these options and the iPad related images (startup Images) part were greyed out, also on Application Icons only Iphone 60×60, iPhone retina 120×120, and iTunes retina 1024×1024 are selected, (iPad and iPad retina images are greyed out)
Still having the same problem, have checked the image sizes asked for as in my first post, and
it still does not show the full image in landscape mode on iPhone 4 only shows the top half of the image?
(Portrait mode is fine).
Stumped!!!!!!
