    HI.
During the build process of iOS app i have followed the applications icons and startup.
loaded up the images as requested in .png format
    Application icons
    iPhone (57×57)
    iPhone 4 & 5 (114×114)
    iPad and iPhone (72×72
    iTunes (512×512

    Startup Images
    iPhone (320×480)
    iPhone4 (640×960)
    iPhone5 (640×1136)

Problem is when i start the app on my iphone 4 the startup image when viewed in landscape
goes off screen only showing the top half of the image? am i doing this right?
do i need to include the iPad and iPhone image (72×72) as i am only doing this for the iPhone and not the iPad?
I have checked all images to make sure they are of the right format and size but still have the problem.

    1) Our testing did not show a very negative UX (a relayout of the UI when splash closed and app UI started). We did not see anything similar to 1/2 splash screen rendered. We will look into this closely when time permits. More info…
iphone devices do not support landscape startup images. We ran some tests and what we observed on mobione and other apps is the startup image renders in portrait mode (as expected). Upon completion of the startup image display as the app starts up there is a small window of time where the startup image disappears and the apps starts and relays out to the landscape. I did not observe the startup image 1/2 rendering or other odd layout. This could be a function of my use of small sized test apps…not sure. I spoke with the dev team and they did not reply with encouragement of any changes that they could introduce.

    2) for an iphone/itouch-only app you do not need to include ipad images. You must explicitly select the target device as iphone/itouch in the ios application build wizard.
