    Hi All,
I had installed MyEclipse with Eclipse3.1.
As the expiration period was over I uninstalled MyEclipse.
But even now I am getting the MyEclipse icon coming in the Eclipse IDE Screen.
Can any one tell me how to get away with this.

    Regards
    Ayusman

    Ayusman,
If you edit the shortcut that MYEclipse created, you’ll see a bootsplash screen logo argument pointing to our graphic file, you can go ahead and just erase this parameter and the default splash screen should come up for you.

Hi there Thanks for the help, but as I opened the shortcut to MyEclipse but it instead opened the myeclipse.exe file in a notepad.
Please be a little more specific as to how should I erase MyEclipse totally from Eclipse IDE.

    Regards
    Ayusman

    Ayusman,
There is no myeclipse.exe file, MyEclipse is an extension to the base Eclipse install, an extension is a set of plugins that are hooked into your Eclipse install via an extension point. To uninstall MyEclipse you simply erase the MyEclipse directory (the extension point is then not loaded). The shortcut that the MyEclipse installer creates uses the MyEclipse splash screen for it’s image, if you choose to keep using this shortcut to launch normal eclipse youy need to edit the properties of the shortcut and remove the reference to the MyEclipse splash screen.
