I’ve scoured the forums and have not been able to find an answer to the question of “How to Remove Spring Capabilities” once they have been added. The option is nowhere to be found, and I would just like to know if I’m missing something or if it hasn’t been implemented yet. Thanks!

There is no automatic removal of capabilities because providing such an option could easily render a project “broken” if the user added the capabilities some time ago, made extensive modifications, and then asked us to remove them. The only way to remove them at the present time is manually by dropping the library sets that were added to the project.

Thanks Scott! That’s what I wanted to know.

i’m not using the library sets specified by myeclipse – i already had the spring libraries in my project. however, i’m not getting errors in my spring context XML file which i would like to ignore but can’t. ideally i would just remove the spring capabilities, but this isn’t possible, as you say.

any other method to delete this information? can i edit the .project file or something?

You can remove these settings manually by editing your .project file to remove the builders if necessary, erasing any .<spring dot file> files and removing the Spring libraries from your project.
