I noticed Spring IDE 1.3 is out, and is dependent on Web Tools.

Will Web Tools coexist with MyEclipse, and will MyEclipse 5 support the new version of Spring IDE?

MyEclipse 5.0 is actually built ontop of WTP 1.5, so as far as compatability goes the answer is “Really well”. I’m looking into the plan for SpringIDE 1.3 and MyEclipse 5.0 right now, since we already integrate their excellent work I imagine we will continue to keep it updated as they improve the plugin.

Ok I doubled checked on this and specifically for the 5.0 release we won’t updated the SpringIDE integration, but soon thereafter we will. But that’s not to say that installing your own copy won’t work just fine.
