I’ve ‘inherited’ a Barcode Scanne; MT-306 DK Bar Code Reader, it’s a standard in-line (in that it fits between the keyboard and PC). In my naivette I thought I would merely plug it in and start scanning barcodes into a database. Do I need software or drivers or what? I innocently thought “Ahhh, Bar Code Reader. it’ll deal with anything I stick in front of it!” and now I’m guessing I need to program the head piece to recognise a particular type of code but have no idea how.
