    Hi,
Is it possible to start servers remotely on my network using myeclipse? I have Jrun and Tomcat installed on a testing server and myeclipse is installed on my xp pro machine, i add the servers and the nessasary jdk’s and all seems fine. Only when i go to start the in the console it all reads if every thing has gone as expected and it say’s the server has started only when i go to check in the browser, i get error unable to connect. On futher investigation i find that the server has not started at all. I have no problem if the server is on the same machine as myeclipse is installed however this is not what i need.
    cheers for any reply.
    Chainy.

    chainy,

If you can’t server from local machine out of myEclipse then you can’t do it with MyEclipse, too.
I don’t sure why you don’t get errors – do you have error when you try it from your local machine ?
And , what is OS on remote server with Jrun/tomcat ?

Ok this is what i get from command line on local machine

Error: no known VMs. (check for corrupt jvm.cfg file)

The testing server is windows 2003 and i have jrun 4 installed on it and tomcat 5.5 they both do not give errors. I have set the jdk paths in the server set up in myEclipse to the jdk’s on windows 2003 I have the drives mapped to my local machine
    Thanks for your help.
