I am trying to run tomcat (5.0.30). I got this error yesterday and thought some external app might be the cause. So I killed a bunch of services and background running apps and tried it again with the same error. When I changed the port ids in the server.xml it worked. Then today I get the same error with my renames ports.

It turns out that if you install Tomcat with the service it defaults to automaticlaly turning the service on. Then ME also makes the same call thereby getting the binding error.

    Solution:
Go into services, select Apache Tomcat/Properties and change the startup type to manual and stop the current instance.

Then if you start from the ME toolbar you won’t get that problem.

Thanks for posting this for others Jeff, I think a good number of users may have fought this battle before.
