    Hi,

Can I use Struts-Layout plug-in with MyEclipse. If yes, then should I configure existing Struts-Layout plug-in, which was installed to Eclipse, or should I reinstall it to MyEclipse.

    thank you,

    Kastis

    Kastis,
We have don’t no testing with this combination. You are of course welcome to try though. I would suggesting installing MyEclipse first, getting your Struts project all setup, then adding Struts-Layout and seeing if that breaks anything.

    Kastis,

We are using struts-layout with MyEclipse. After some tests we decided to do it without the struts-layout plugin. The level of functionality of the strut-layout plug in is roughly achieved by the MyEclipse JSP editor. The only annoying thing is that using struts-layout in the MyEclipse JSP editor, you loose the preview and design views. The main functionality of the struts layout plugin is autocompletion and verification, things that MyEclipse does fine.

While it is quite acceptable that MyEclipse does not invest in struts-layout design view (not enough people have realised struts-layout is great yet), the preview should not be that difficult so activate…
