1. As my struts-config grows, the struts-config editor is getting slower and slower. At the same time its ‘Outline’ window is ‘flashing’/redrawing a lot.

2. When you try to paste some text into the current position of the editor, the editor scrolls so that the newly pasted text is shown at the bottom of the editor. This can be very confusing.

1) We have internally discussed the outline view redrawing too much and I just requested a status update on it so we can see where we stand. Also the XML edit had a lot of work done to it, so hopefully performance should be improved.

2) This is a known bug that I also requested a status up on as well.

It is always helpful, if you can, to send the exact file you are editing to support@genuitec.com referecing this thread so we can load it up with internal development build and see if everything works. If things don’t work, at the least we will have a good test case to use when we fix it.

Scott got back to me on these and #1 is fixed by the new flow view in 2.7 GA and #2 will be addressed in early 2.8 beta.

I noticed #2 several times, it happens when the editor window has not the focus (in outline or search) and you enter/type in some text. Sometimes now I remember to press F12 before typing in, but if not, then it’s indeed confusing/disturbing.
