Can you switch to a new workspace, create a new Struts project and try following the tutorial. Do you get the same error? Incase you do, can you hit the pm button at the bottom of the post and send my you project so that I can test this out at my end as well.

    Thanks Nipun,

I figured out the problem, but not sure I have to do like this. I wasted around 6 hours on this. How stupid 🙁

The problem was when I add struts 1.3 capabilities, and deploy the project I was getting the above exception, so for a change I removed Struts-faces jar from 1.3 and deployed it to weblogic 10. It worked.

Any idea why we need struts-faces jar in 1.3? if we need it then is weblogic 10 JDK 5.0XX(using default weblogic 10 JDK) not supporting it? I would appreciate if anyone from development team can clarify me on this. And I tried JSF demo as well on Weblogic 10, no surprise it didn’t work as well. What’s wrong with faces dude?? 🙂 just kidding

I’m glad you got it to work I’ll check this with my dev team but in the mean while you should cross post on the weblogic / struts forums as well.
