diablilloMemberHello,
I’ve been stuck with MyEclipse 6.6 for over a year now because it is the last version that correctly supports JSF & Facelets context assist.
For example, with a facelets project (Tomcat 6.6 + JSF 1.2 + Facelets), when editting a XHTML file, MyEclipse 6.6 correctly gets a class’ properties if context assist is used (ie. using CTRL – Space).
Up to the last realease (MyEclipse 7.5), when you try to do this, the IDE get’s frozen for a while, takes up to a minute to unfreeze itself and does not show anything. Eclipses .log file doesnt show any sign of trouble. I’ve been experimenting this on clean Windows XP & Vista installs.
I’ve been searching the forums but there is no clear indication on when this will be fixed. Any ideas? I’ve renewed my subscription twice, but I’m reluctant to do it again until this issue has been fixed. Is there a date on when it is expected to be fixed? It was already working with 6.6, but got messed up with newer releases.
Thanks!
support-joyMemberdiablillo,
I don’t have visibility of your system and I am not able to reproduce the same at my end. Can you answer few queries for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
2. How did you install ME 6.6 and 7.5? Have you used all-in-one installer/ pulse/ archived update site?
3. Can you create a small sample application with JSF + Facelets and mail to support@genuitec.com, please add ATTN:Joy in the subject and refer to this link. This will help me in quick tracking.
4. Please mention steps in detail and attach screenshots in support of your claim
5. Also list pulse.handshake.id from pulse2.properties, look for the file here ~\Genuitec\Common\configuration\pulse2.properties -
