I have a Professional subscription and have recently started getting the above problem recently and have this problem every time I start up:

SUBSCRIPTION LEVEL PROBLEM: The operation you are running is only available to subscribers of MyEclipse forSpring. Since your subscription is not for that product you will need to upgrade in order to use this functionality

I get this message when I start with a completely blank workspace and my normal development one (which includes projects that are Spring enabled). I don’t believe I am using any “new” features (and my blank workspace is using nothing!) so why am I getting this message?

Can you answer few queries for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. Can you tell me what capabilities are enabled under Window > Preferences > General > Capabilies?
3. Can you copy and paste .log file located under [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log?

Thank you for the details. Can you check one more thing – Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center. Select Software tab. Check if MyEclipse for Spring is listed under “My Software”. If yes, can you please right click on the same and click on [remove]. This will list the changes under Pending Changes. Please click on [Apply x change]. Do you see this nag any other time other than workspace open?

Under My Software I have
MyEclipse for Spring (Early Access – PRO only) v 8.00, I have removed this.

As to your other question, this “nag” only appears during start up.

BTW – since removing the “nag” has disappeared.

Thanks for the quick update and I’m glad the nag is now gone.

The early access software item should have been incompatible with 8.5 and typically you would have had to uninstall it before updating to 8.5, so I’m trying to figure out how you find yourself in this situation. Did you have the Maven module uninstalled in 8.0 by any chance?

Sorry I can’t remember what my install _used_ to be like. I believe I had the standard 8.0, then I upgraded some of the early access stuff, and finally moved to 8.5. Other than that I can’t recall much else. We/I don’t use Maven at the moment, but I wouldn’t have deselected it on purpose (but that’s just me thinking out allowed, so can’t really be trusted).

Thank you for the details. I will escalate your findings to the dev team. One last thing, can you open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > About MyEcliose Enterprise Workbench > Installation Details. Select Configuration tab and copy and paste com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id listed under *** System properties
This will help me check if there are any issues logged.
