I renewed my subscription today and received the new subscription code. When I enter that code in the subscription field I get an error message that the subscription code has already expired. 🙁

The new codes that are being issued are for a free upgrade to a Professional key, which can’t be interpreted properly by MyEclipse 3.8.4 or earlier. If you want to keep using 3.8.4 to plan a transition at a later time, please see this thread:
    http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-9312.html

Please note that 3.8.x doesn’t have two feature sets (Standard and Professional) like 4.0 does. As a result, the update only allows 3.8.5 installations to recognize the new key format and continue working as before.

At any point that’s convenient for you, you can do a fresh install of Eclipse 3.1 / MyEclipse 4.0 in parallel to your existing Eclipse 3.0.x / MyEclipse 3.8.5 installation and use the same key for that installation since upgrades are included in your subscription.
