poreddymMemberHow do we obtain subscription code for eclipse ❓ thx

Scott AndersonParticipantWhen you download a release, it’s good for a 30-day trial without a subscription code. After 30 days, if you decide to continue using the product, you can purchase a subscription using the payment links on the portal.

bhoylmaMemberHello —
I’ve downloaded/installed (manually) the 4.0M2_E3.1 to trial it. While looking through the some of the MyEclipse preferences I’m being nagged with the followng message:
Your trial period has expired.
Please select either the ‘Purchase’ button to buy or renew
your subscription code, or the ‘Enter’ button if you’ve
received a new code and need to input it.As I just installed it a few minutes ago, I presume the trial is still valid or will I constantly be nagged throughout the trial period? I’ve not installed product prior to today.
Now that it’s working with Eclipse 3.1 I thought I’d give it a try.
Let me know, and thanks.
Peace.

Scott AndersonParticipantIf you’ve already tried it out, you’ll need to send an email to subscriptions at myeclipseide.com and see if they will issue you an extension code.

bhoylmaMemberGuess that’s a function of using the trial. Not really necessary to pop up windows reminding me that I haven’t bought your product, IMHO.
Peace.

Scott AndersonParticipantThat could be the confusion. Actually, the reminder shows up only when you restart Eclipse and access some functionality for the first time. It’s simply intended as a reminder of how much time you have left on the 30-day trial so the software won’t appear to stop working on you “suddenly”, later on.
