Update: I am using the SWT Swing Designer after all. There is nothing in the MyEclipse documentation that is more detailed than “drop your object and everything is roses”

When I try to move components around on my screen to link them, they form unexplainable linkages to other objects and then SNAP !! half of the objects on the screen have moved. I did not ask it to move ANYTHING other than the object I had picked up !!

Now I cannot get the screen width to stay where i want it. It is 100px wider than all of my objects, and I bring it in smaller to where all of my objects are, SNAP !! it pops out 200px from where I want it. I do it again and it’s 300px farther. It will be bigger than my screen before long.

I cannot deselect or modify the “Anchor” checkmarks, the AutoResizing makes decisions I do not want !! This needs to be MUCH MORE LIKE XCODE !!

I need help on this TODAY or I will be calling in for a refund. This is the only reason I pay for MyEclipse so I need this to be working.

    jetdoc,

Sorry that you are seeing issues with MyEclipse. I could not replicate the issue at my end.

Can you please give us some more information to help us replicate the issue at our end?

    1. Please share the Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.

    2. Please take a look at the latest tutorial for SWT/Swing Designer :
    http://genuitec.com:8080/help/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.genuitec.myeclipse.doc%2Fhtml%2Fgettingstarted%2Fme_2013%2Findex.html

3.Please attach screenshots of the issue you are seeing with the designer to help us get a visual. If possible please attach a sample project which exhibits the issue to help us take a look.

    4. Can you also check if there are any errors of interest logged in the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log ? If yes then paste them here for us to investigate further.

    jetdoc,

Apologies for the bad link in the previous reply. We don’t yet have a SWT/Swing Designer tutorial but an overview of the tool is provided here:

    http://genuitec.com:8080/help/topic/com.genuitec.myeclipse.swing.doc/html/quickstarts/swt_overview/index.html?cp=2_11_0_2

More information on WindowBuilder (otherwise known as SWT/Swing Designer) is available here:
