All I want to do is to see how much network traffic is generated per request. I thought this would be a very common requirement!

So got TCP/IP monitor running & each request populates the top window with all the .gif, .js files etc… sent from the server.

How can I tell how much data each of these files contain? – clicking on each one sometimes give the contents & size in the Response window but more often than not blank!

For example if I click on a .js file the response windows blank with a size of 0 (155) bytes – but I know the file is 5500 bytes?

Also why when clicking on a gif file & selecting “image view” does it say “not a valid image file”?

Is it me or are there just loads of bugs in this tool?

managed to work out what was happening in the end – the browser was caching gif, js files etc! so didn’t need to download them on subsequent requests!

You need a tutorial for this tool!
