Oddly enough, the only reason I purchased MobiOne was to use the emulator that looks like an iPhone from my PC. I use it to demo my web apps.

For some reason today, the software asked me to buy/unlock my MobiOne again out of the blue. This has been working fine since before 3/29. I bought it after my trial ended. Either way, I hit the unlock button and put in my code, no big deal and the trial message says congrats and then lets me into the software and the red trial mode indication disappears.

Now when I go into the Test Center and start up the Safari icon which takes me to my page, it loads a screen up for settings. I put in the settings that this once use to work with and hit my save button and it just hangs. My software uses Sencha Touch 1 and makes an AJAX call using their library. This was working a week or so ago, but not now. If I bring up Safari or Chrome my web app still works in there.

My stuff only works in Safari and Chrome and does not work in IE of any flavor. Is there a way to set the default browser it uses? Did it somehow revert to IE?

I’ve already tried clearing the cache/databases/etc in the settings.

The current state is that it will load up my web app, which is a web page with mobile ‘like’ controls on it using Sencha Touch 1. Since I cleared the cache, it is asking me to save new settings. I type in the 3 pieces of information and hit save and it just hangs. It would be making an ajax call at that point normally. I used Fiddler2 trying to watch the traffic and when I load the page I see activity. When I hit the Save button it doesn’t do anything anymore.

    Hi Martin,

The need to reenter your license details is unusual. My first thought is perhaps the directory <user-home>\.mobione could not be read or some of its data was corrupted unexpectedly. The .mobione directory contains the license file, prefs and runtime state.

    Please try this:
    1) uninstall MobiOne
    2) delete all files under the <user-home\.mobione directory except the mobione.lic file
    3) reinstall MobiOne, see http://genuitec.com/mobione/download.html for installer
    4) launch MobiOne Test Center – it should start without asking for license key
    5) test the MobiOne Test Center emulator
