I just spent the last 40 minutes reading all the bug reports that have come in since 3.8 GA was released into the wild and for some reason my mind went back to the eclipse 3.0M8 release and in the voice of “comic book guy” I thought “worse release ever!”. This release is a little under done to say the least.
As a note for future development, IMHO ME should investigate doing the same as eclipse and creating nightly builds and make them available at the very least in the members only download area. Seeing as you now allow everyone to download the lastest release, plus you would have gotten early warning that this release was not up to par. Early adopters would have used the product in their environments and would have let it be known that X, Y and Z failed to work before ME let it escape.
