jsniperMemberI created a simple app with a button. When the button is clicked, under the Actions section, I have it set to Send Email. Inside that, I enter the email address I want to send to. The problem is that on my android phone (Thunderbolt) which was one of the first 4G phones created by the way so it is older, when I click the button it says “The protocol is not supported. (Mailto:myemail@mysite.com?Subject=Testing Form&Body=)”
Also, on Galaxy 4 phones, it pops the email twice for some reason. It also pops my Outlook twice on my computer when using the simulator.
I am using the latest/beta version of MobiOne.

support-octavioMemberHi jsniper,
Please provide the additional info to help us learn more about your problem:
1) You are using 2.5M2 hotfix 1, right?
2) What model is your device? What android version has it installed?
3) Is your app a native app or a web app?October 5, 2013 at 5:33 pm #343067
jsniperMemberMy phone is a Thunderbolt and it has Android 2.3.4. I’m not sure if the app is a web app or native app. I’m new to phone apps so I’m not sure and I do not see where inside MobiOne, where I can choose.
Yes, that is the version of MobiOne I am using.

support-octavioMemberHi,
> I’m not sure if the app is a web app or native app.
When you received the notification from App Center, did you install the application or did it just open in default web browser?October 7, 2013 at 12:08 pm #343092
jsniperMemberI created my app in the MobiOne software, then I clicked on Project and “Build Android Application”. It created the *.apk file. I then sent it to myself via email and it installed like any other app I’ve ever put on my phone. I also uploaded it to the Google Play store and downloaded it from there to make sure everything was ok. It installed the same way. When you say “App Center” I’m not sure what you mean.

jsniperMemberEven in the simulator, it pops the email twice when I click “Send Email” on a form page or a page that has an email funciton. It appears that no matter how I create a page, if that page has to send an email, it always pops the email twice, so I have to close one of them.

jsniperMemberI started from scratch and created a new app. It is no longer popping the emails twice in the simulator but it still gives that error on my phones when trying to send an email. I tried this on the Galaxy 4 and my Thunderbolt.
Basically, what we need to figure out is why that error comes up. Just create an app with a button or list item and set it’s “Action” to Send Email. Then upload the app to your phone and run it. When you click the button, it should give you an error.
