owen corpeningMemberfollowing this tutorial:
http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/entry.jspa?externalID=2241&categoryID=100I got to this step:
click Window > Show View, and then click Servers. In the Servers pane, right-click inside the white space, then click New Server. In the New Server dialog box, in the Server’s host name box, type EC2. Doing so should automatically filter your options in the server type pane, which should now look like Figure 3.But in the server view there is no “New Server” option. Ideas?
I did a full download and install of myeclipse, nit some sort of upgrade. Clean install of 7.1.1, now upgraded to 7.5 using update manager. The AWS plugin appears to be fine.
thanks,

support-joyMemberHi,
Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for us.
Did you setup MyEclipse using the All in One installer?
Also, give details about how you installed AWS plug-in?And for your information, the server preferences are in window–>preferences and expand “MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench”, you’ll find “servers”.

support-joyMemberHi owencorpening,
Did you try looking the server preferences in window–>preferences and expand “MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench”, you’ll find “servers”. We need to configure the server first to use that server.
Let me know if you configure the server and still don’t find your server in “server view”.July 7, 2009 at 8:20 pm #300236
owen corpeningMemberYes, it did not show any new servers. In Ganymede it shows Apache-Amazon Ec2 Tomcat V6 cluster. Seems they list manufacturer first then appserver-name under that, like IBM-Websphere where MyEclipse just shows the appserver directly, like glassfish, jboss, etc. So I am not certain what *should* be shown.

support-joyMemberHi owencorpening,
If you did not find your server in window–>preferences–>Myeclipse Enterprise Workbench section, it means the server is not correctly installed. Try to add the server plug-in correctly and try it out once again.
Please let me know after doing as said above.November 22, 2010 at 5:42 pm #312876
