    Hi,

I am trying to start Tomcat from within Eclipse with no luck.

When I click on the start tomcat button, the cursor changes for a few seconds but nothing happens. All that is written in the Eclipse console is:
<terminated>d:\program files\java\j2re1.4.2_07\bin\javaw.exe. When I start tomcat normally , it starts up fine.

    I am using:

    Eclipse 3.0.1
    Sysdeo Eclipse Tomcat plugin 3.0.0
    JDK 1.4.2
    Tomcat 5.0

    Any Ideas?

    Regards

Moving to OT > General, this is not related to MyEclipse, please ask the Sysdeo developers or on their forums.

As a quick suggestion, try configuring TOmcat to run with a JDK, not a JRE. MyEclipse requires you use a JDK so maybe Sysdeo does as well (Tomcat needs the tools.jar file from the JDK to compile JSP pages).
