I am using the Tomcat Application Server in the Run Mode in MyEclipse. When I click on the “Run/Stop/Restart MyEclipse Application Servers” drop-down menu and select the Tomcat option, I can Start the Tomcat server by clicking on Start. But after starting, I am unable to Stop it as the Stop button never gets active.

PS: The Launch option in Window > Preferences > MyEeclipse > Application Servers > Tomcat 5 is set to Run Mode.

I am however able to stop the Server in the Debug Mode.

    I am using JDK 1.5, Tomcat 5.5.17, Eclipse 3.1.2 and MyEclipse 4.1.1

Is there some way to fix this problem?

This was a bug in 4.1.1 that was fixed in a later release. Sorry about that.

The work around is just as you found, to use Debug mode or upgrade.
