I was had problems with tomcat interface, after upgrade to myeclipse 3.8.3, the deploy icons not in toolbar of IDE.
Can you try restarting Eclipse with the -clean option one time: eclipse.exe -clean …
That will cause the cached configuration of the workbench to be rebuilt and usually clears up any problems on upgrades.
