Hi,

I’m trying to install EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_030804_3.1M7Beta.exe against Version: 3.1.0 Build id: I20050617-1618 but get a version error.

The .eclipseproduct file contains:

name=Eclipse Platform
id=org.eclipse.platform
version=3.1.0

Can someone tell me which versions I should be using so I can get it installed?

Many thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I had similar errors and then tried the manual install. The install worked, but the plugin didn’t work very well. I re-read some of the other posts here, and it seems as though MyEclipse 3.8.4 only works with a specific version of Eclipse (3.1M7 <http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.1M7-200505131415/index.php>). As pointed out in one of the other posts, it does state that quite clearly on the downloads page (however, I still completly glossed over it 😉 ).

I am downloading Eclipse 3.1M7 and am going to try to install that and MyEclipse to see how that goes. As the two versions appear to be compatable, I am not expecting any issues. I’ll let you know if I have any.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Dave, Chris is exactly on the money with his post.

I would add that if you guys need to use Eclipse 3.1, our RC3/GA compatiable release of 4.0 Milestone 2 should be out late next week for you to bang on.
