I believe I read somewhere on this site or in the release notes that 3.8.3 or 3.8.4 would allow two instances of a single developer License to be running on the same machine. That is the same machine, not two different machines.

I just loaded up a second instance of Eclipse on this machine and got the “Subscription Key Problem” screen. But it listed as the two I.P. addresses currently using this license as the same I.P. (10.1.8.38)…

Can we not run two instances on a single machine?

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Greg,
Please email subscriptions@genuitec.com with a description of your working environment and why you need this setup, they should be able to figure out why this is happening and supply you with a key that *will* work for you.

I have the exact same problem. We use different workspaces for different projects. We keep at least 2 instances of Eclipse up at the same time. We cannot be the only company that works with Eclipse this way. I don’t understand why you don’t just track different IP addresses running concurrently and ignore the one’s that are the same. We used MyEclipse with our engineers for 30 days before we bought licenses. This problem did not show up until after we installed the licenses. How do we solve this?

    wrapsidy,
Sorry this is causing a problem in your work environment, please email subscriptions@genuitec.com with a description of your problem. Also note, this might be easiest if you all were simply sharing a group license.
