I’ve checked the Learning Center and can’t seem to find an answer.
I am using MobiOne v2.6.2, Cordova 2.9.1 to build an iOS app for an iPad 7.0.4.
It will build seemingly okay (no build errors), but when trying to download onto the device, I get the “Unable to Download App” error.
I have used the App Center to get my DigitalSigningData, I then used the .csr to get a Dist. Certificate, then used the Certificate to get a Dist. / Ad-Hoc Provision Profile, and I have also entered the device’s UDID under the devices tab.
The build number is 65922090 (ICS iPad App).
I am missing something but can’t figure out what it is.

Help me, MobiOne Kenobi, you’re my only hope.

The reason we usually see this is because the UDID number is wrong. I would check that first, if you added the device as a new one make sure you redownload the provisioning file, they do not auto update with newly added devices.

I made sure the UDID was entered before I made a provisioning file and double-checked the id by using a program that emailed me the information from the device. When I tried to enter another device with the emailed UDID (just to verify that I didn’t mess up the first time), it tells me there is already a device with that id in the family. So I know the id is correct and then I downloaded the provision file again after the verification. No change in the outcome.

This is suspicious and may be the source of your ad hoc app installation problem. As of ios6 there is absolutely no valid API for accessing a device’s unique ID (UDID). The only way you can access the device id is from itunes. See this screenshot for how you should be accessing a device id for use in creating an ad hoc provision profile.

Check that the UDID show in itunes is listed in the profile you are using to build a mobione app. Let us know what you find. See attachment itunes-udid.png

I downloaded and installed two different applications that gave me the UDID. Both were completely wrong and gave me different id’s for the same iPad.
You were SOOO right. I plugged into iTunes and got the proper UDID from there.
I re-entered the device with the right UDID and made another provisioning file.
Then, I rebuilt the app and downloaded it without any problems at all.
Everything is right in the world again.

Thank you so much for all the help.

That’s great Bob, thanks for closing the loop. Marking thread as closed.
