    Hey, there!

I’m currently running MyEclipse 6.0.1-GA-200710, and I want to upgrade to 6.5. My Install/Upgrade -> Valid updates preferences are set to compatible, so I should be able to pick up the bump to the minor. However, when I go to Help -> Software Updates -> Manange Configuration and select Scan for Updates, MyEclipse tells me that there are no updates available. Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install -> updates of currently installed gives me the same results.

    Help?

You will have to go to Help > Soteware Updates > Find and Install > Search for new feature to install and add a new Remote site (http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/discovery-6.5/) and then scan for updates.

Let me know if this doesn’t work.

Good news, bad news. The good news is that the new Remote Site worked. The bad news is that while running the update in the background, the whole IDE crashed. I brought MyEclipse back up, restarted the update and let it alone to do its thing undisturbed. I got everything installed and restarted MyEclipse, which now identifies itself as 6.5. Unfortunately, since installing the updates, MyEclipse core dumps every time I try to import an existing project.

I’ve restarted MyEclipse several times, and I’ve even rebooted my computer. Do you have any idea why it would blow up on an import request?

Thats weird. You can try using the -clean command to see if this gets resolved:-

Can you paste the error messages here for me.
