Hi,

I was able to install myEclipse before on windowsXP with out any issues. Recently my company gave me new dell desk top with os windows xp. When i was trying to install myEclipse on my machine but i’m getting following error.

Can’t launch executable .
Could not load jvm.dll

Just plain eclipse is working fine.

My Machine info
OS:windows XP
java 1.5
eclipse3.1.x

We would suggest just downloading the Manual Install from the download area. It’s an easy 2-step process and the instructions are included inside of the Zip file.

Is just straight java working on your machine. If you go to a command prompte and type

java -version

, what do you get?

I have the same issue using the windows installer. I am also using Eclipse 3.1, WinXP and Java 1.5.

H:\>java -version
java version “1.5.0_06”
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode)

I followed the suggestion of performing a manual install and have different issues. “MyEclipse Application Server Tooling” has the following status:

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.jboss” version “4.1.1” referenced by this feature is missing.

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.jboss2” version “4.1.0” referenced by this feature is missing.

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.jboss3” version “4.1.0” referenced by this feature is missing.

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.jboss4” version “4.1.0” referenced by this feature is missing.

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.bejy” version “4.1.0” referenced by this feature is missing.

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.jetty4” version “4.1.0” referenced by this feature is missing.

Plug-in “com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.geronimo1” version “4.1.1” referenced by this feature is missing.

I have similar issues with MyEclipse Bugzilla Support, MyEclipse Core Tooling, and MyEclipse Struts Support 🙁

I uninstalled MyEclipse, deleted the unzipped directories and repeated the manual install steps. This fixed the issue above.
