I am trying to install MyEclipse using Pulse. I have downloaded Pulse and it was running fine, but now whenever open pulse explorer I am getting an “error occured” message. In the log file I see the below error:
!MESSAGE Unexpected exception occurred loading manifest for bundle at the location: reference:file:plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.i18n.win32.win32.x86_3.1.0.v201008301800/.

Same error comes up when I try to download myeclipse from the installer.

    kalaiprasad,

Can you do the following –
    1. Run the uninstaller.
    2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
2.1. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
    3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as well

    1. Download and install all-in-one installer from MyEclipse download site here – http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-4.html
    2. Install using pulse, instructions mentioned here – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-how-to-install-myeclipse-from-pulse/&highlight=
    3. Install using archived update site – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-install-myeclipse-using-archived-update-site/&highlight=
Please note that the FAQs are not based on ME 8.6, please use 8.6 wherever applicable.

Let me know how this works for you.

I have manually removed the installation directory and now I am able to do a clean install.
