Since JSF 2.2 new namespaces are used

http://xmlns.jcp.org/jsf/

instead of

http://java.sun.com/jsf/

The editor for xhtml pages dows not recognize these namespaces.

Is there a solution for this?

My fault. In JSF Facets Mojarra 2.2.4 was not registered as Lib. After that the tag libs are recognized.

Expect: A composite component in an external jar-file (other project that is also deployed).
