    Hi,

    We are using MyEclipse7.5. When I install plugins and restarts the MyEclipse I am getting pop up error saying

    “Checking workspace” has encounter a problem and

    in the details it is saying

    Error checking for updates to workspace configuration
    Unsupported content type [text/html; charset=UTF-8] for [orag.eclipse.maynstall.client.core.MaynstallActionResponse]

    Is this a problem in MyEclipse7.5 ? if yes do we need to do any settings to get ride of this?

    What is the plugin that you are trying to install? Please make sure that the plugin that you trying to install is compatible with Eclipse 3.4.2 which is the base eclipse for MyEclipse 7.5

    New update:

    Even with fresh workspace (without any plugins installed) we are observing this error.

    I cannot reproduce this issue at my end. Can you install ME 8.5 and check if this issue persists?

    Thanks for letting know us about ME 8.5. We will try it out. I have an observation on this issue could you confirm if this is a known problem.

    I have notice MyEclipse 7.5 was checking for Updates whenver we launch a workspace.

    My machine is internet connected and 1 out of 5 times the update will pass successfully and whenver it failes first it will throw above mentioned pop up error and update will fail.

    If i disconnect from internet, it will not try to update and we will not throw above mentioned pop up error.

    Gerard,

    ME 7.5 checks for updates everytime you launch your workspace is correct. I am sorry, I cannot reproduce this issue of facing issue when the update fails. Can you upgrade to ME 8.5 and check if this issue persists?
